Last year, I drove with others from NSW to Qld and received a speeding fine weeks later. After examining the photos provided and additional photos taken from the passenger seat, it became clear that the speeding violation was committed by the other driver, not the owner of the vehicle.

## Extended Situation Overview

In this situation, it is evident that there is a dispute regarding the identification of the driver responsible for the speeding violation. It has come to light that the other driver has falsely nominated the vehicle owner through a fraudulent Stat Dec, causing confusion and uncertainty about the next steps to take.

Now u have to go to court and unfortunately in qld the fine is given to the easiest person. The owner. Unless you seek legal representation they will charge you.

I once sold a car and had all the paperwork for it. The new owner got a speeding fine but because 182kmh in a 60 zone it was court and not a fine. He was unable to attend, instead he signed a stat Dec, swore on the bible at a police station to do it , to say he was driving…. went to court… I got charged for it

The one accused will have to front court if they do not want to pay the fine.
