Can’t you go check in your lunch hour if someone is parked in front of you? Then ask management to send around an email to whoever has the black sedan, plate # to move it? Write up your own memo about it, about blocking others in, where alternative parking is, but it’s not ok to box anyone in and ask management to sign off on it. You come up with the solutions for them to use. They’re probably not bothered, so do the leg work for them.

If you have a work email a few company wide emails outing the offenders will probably resolve this pretty quick. I mean name and shame, with their mug shot. Management has decided it’s a non issue, may as well make it one.
Is it only your car being blocked in or other staff as well?
If it’s only your vehicle then I’d bring up to management that if you ever have to leave work urgently due to an emergency you wouldn’t be able to.
If they’re blocking in other cars as well, then I’d be asking the other people who get blocked in to complain with you.
Most companies I’ve worked for this would be unacceptable. If they want the car park they should arrive early enough to park in it.
This is not a legal question, no tow truck companies will tow vehicles if they are on company premises unless management calls them and are prepared to pay the fees.
Depending on what your company does and if there are forklifts on site, I’ve heard stories where they move the problem cars with a forklift and moving them to near-impossible places to get their vehicles out. Sometimes on top of shipping containers.

If a company based solution doesn’t work, just offer the owner out the front after work and flog the piss out of them. If they can’t be stuffed turning up for work on-time and parking in a spot further away and walking because they’re late, they deserve it.

Inform management that you need to leave at 5pm and that because this is an issue that is known to them & hasn’t been resolved then, if you are blocked in at that time, you’ll be catching an Uber home at their expense. Then an Uber back to the car park later in the evening to collect your vehicle (also at their expense). Ask how they’ll be paying for the Uber?
Companies only start caring when things cost them money.
As others have said I would adjust my time sheet to be here until X due to parked in.
If you don’t do Time Sheets I would adjust your TIL or OT. Also, inform HR that you feel bullied and harassed since people are parking you in and preventing you from leaving.
The witches hat idea is a good one OR get a friend to call the building management saying they are blocked in and to find out who it is.
You can also use the snap/send/solve app. Take a picture if you see their car there during business hours and then call the council and the police (no not 000) but the non emergency number. Tell them you are blocked in and you need to find out who has blocked you in. I’ve done this and they called the person who soon came to move their car.
No. The strata can’t even do that. In order to remove a vehicle there has to be a bunch of conditions. One is if the vehicle is left there for more than five days after the owner has been warned it’ll happen, the it can be moved *out of the way* but not to an impound lot or anything else you see an American TV. Someone being a dick doesn’t let you steal their car, and if strata do meet the conditions to move it and do, they can potentially be liable for any damage to it.

As a tow truck driver whose also answered a few of these queries. No towing company will touch it being on private property. Its classed as theft if towed off premises even within sight still. Also finding a tow truck small enough and low enough to access the area to remove said vehicle.
Go jacks from super cheap/autobarn or getting management to pull their finger out will be your only options unfortunately.
Yeah no a tow truck isn’t going to help you here. Is it your own spot or is is shared parking? Could you pick somewhere else to park?
Call the local council rangers and get them to ticket it double parking. They will soon learn.

Get some witches hats. Place them in front of your car and wrap police tape. No ones gonna park there dude.
We don’t have enough parks, so parking people in is common. Everyone has registered their number plate and extension with the main office and it’s on our Google Drive, so we can just call that person if they need to move. Also, the ‘leave at 3:30’ crew tend to stick to one area, so they all leave together. It might be something you suggest.
Otherwise, if it’s the same person, talk to them and see if you can switch your cars over at lunchtime.

In short no, you would be required to pay for any costs involved and the driver probably wouldn’t even hook up the car.
Would the vehicles in the driveway block emergency vehicle access? If so, call the local fire station and let them know about it. If they agree with you, all that’s left for you to do is sit back and watch the action because they take a dim view of people blocking emergency vehicle access.
Get a couple of colleagues and bounce / move the car into a very difficult location. E.g. between two walls with no way to manoeuvre out.
Goldfish are extremely fucking durable animals for some reason. My parents have some that live in an outside bowl all year round and it even freezes over during winter. They poke a hole in the ice with their finger and drop the food in.

This is a completely stupid idea but it very well may work. Get a goldfish and tank for it. Put it on your backseat and have it properly taken care of. Then when you get blocked in, call RACV or a toe truck company, and say you have pets inside of the vehicle that someone else has illegally blocked in. They’ll make you a priority and fix the situation very fast. Please take proper care of the fish though if you take this route.
