UGA Small Business Development Center at Georgia Southern University Presents: Value Added Producer Grant Training Program

The UGA Small Business Development Center at Georgia Southern University is pleased to extend an invitation to all agricultural-based producers, business owners, and entrepreneurs to attend a no-cost training program on the Value Added Producer Grant (VAPG).

This informative workshop is being offered in collaboration with USDA Rural Development, the Georgia Department of Agriculture, Georgia Grown, GeorgiaÔÇÖs Rural Center, and private grant writers. Its primary goal is to educate agricultural producers on the various opportunities available through the VAPG program. Administered by USDA, the VAPG program is dedicated to assisting agricultural producers in venturing into value-added activities aimed at generating new products, expanding marketing opportunities, and enhancing producer income.

The program will be held both in-person and online for the convenience of all participants. The in-person session is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the Georgia Grown Innovation Center in Metter, GA. Additionally, an online session will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024, at 2 p.m. for those individuals who may be unable to attend the in-person session.
