Reducing the Burden on Small Businesses

According to Alex Mitchell, CEO of the ACOC, small businesses already face affordability challenges in their daily operations. The additional burden of property crime and vandalism further exacerbates their challenges. The rebate program is just one step in reducing this burden, and eligible businesses are encouraged to apply. The Chamber continues to advocate for more support to alleviate the challenges faced by Abbotsford’s businesses.

Two Types of Rebates

There are two types of rebates available, both retroactive to Jan. 1, 2023, through Dec. 31, 2024. The Reparative rebate provides relief for costs not covered by insurance or insurance deductibles, and the Preventative rebate offers relief for costs incurred in preventing damage to commercial property.
