MINDEN ÔÇô Rob Jonak was able to achieve his dreams with assistance from the Kearney County Economic Development Agency (KCEDA).

Jonak has worked in the information technology industry since 1995, and he received his degree in computers in 2014 from Central Community College. When his friend, Steve Shearer of Minden, was looking to retire from his computer repair business, SGS Innovations, he asked Jonak if heÔÇÖd be interested in taking it over. Jonak soon jumped on board with the idea.

In June, Jonak opened his computer services business, L & E Innovations, in Minden, thanks to a $10,000 loan from KCEDA. This financial support helped him establish his company in Kearney County and specifically allowed him to invest in crucial inventory for his operations.

ÔÇ£It helped me get started with my inventory,ÔÇØ Jonak said. ÔÇ£I have gotten so much support from Minden; from everybody from the bank to you guys (KCEDA). And itÔÇÖs just phenomenal.ÔÇØ

The Kearney County Economic Development Agency was formed in 2004 with the primary objective of fostering the development of communities in Kearney County. Over the years, KCEDA has provided 31 loans, totaling an impressive amount of $319,500 in financial support. Besides L & E Innovations, KCEDA also awarded a $5,000 loan to MindenÔÇÖs newest restaurant, The Rusty Spoke.
