## Exploring Investment Options in Spain
Hi all,
Moved to Spain a few years ago and after studying my options during that time I’ve come to the realization that over here compared to where I used to live – UK – there aren’t many options to reduce tax burdens etc…
In the UK I have a Hargreaves Landsdown account, which a Fund and Share account which I can use to buy ETFs from abroad. I plan on investing £1000-£2000 a month into this account and split this between VUSA ETF & VWRL ETF. My current portfolio sits at £120,000 however this is mostly in accounts I can no longer use from abroad understandably. My goal is to get this account up to £400,000 over the next 10 years saving at this rate and then let it ride until I retire.
I’ve explored looking at Degiro and other Spanish providers to invest in index funds – but their UI and platforms don’t impress me. I understand I’m missing out here as index funds in Spain are transferable without triggering a tax event but I don’t feel as comfortable here.

I’m currently using MyInvestor, and you’re right the UI and apps are crap but their fees are some of the lowest.
Don’t forget to do your modelo 720 for your funds and accounts outside of Spain
If you’re able/willing to move a 100k into mutual index funds, you can open an account with Vanguard directly.
Otherwise, when you have an account at Myinvestor you can use the Same to invest directly on inversis, I don’t know if their UI is any better but you might want to give it a try. You’d still pay the same fees as on Myinvestor.
