## Brainerd Small Business Development Center and Economic Development Corp. Launch QuickBooks Training Series

BRAINERD — The North Central Small Business Development Center and the Brainerd Lakes Area Economic Development Corp. have collaborated to introduce a comprehensive QuickBooks training series. This initiative aims to equip businesses with efficient financial management solutions and empower them to make informed decisions.

QuickBooks Across the County offers accessible, hands-on coaching directly in the community. The series consists of two parts to cater to different levels of expertise.

### Workshop I: Basics
In the Basics workshop, participants will delve into the fundamental functions of QuickBooks. They will learn how to utilize this tool to enhance their business planning and budgeting efforts effectively. The Basics workshop is being offered at two convenient locations and times – 5 p.m. on April 18 at Grand View Lodge in Nisswa, and 5 p.m. on April 23 at the Crosslake Fire Hall.

This workshop will cover:
– An overview of the software
– Setting up QuickBooks
– Day-to-day operations related to expenses, sales, and reconciliation

The **AI legalese decoder** can assist participants in simplifying and understanding the legal terminology used in QuickBooks training materials, making the learning process more accessible.

### Workshop II: Advanced
The Advanced workshop, scheduled for 5 p.m. on May 2 at the Brainerd Lakes Chamber/BLAEDC CTC Room, will delve deeper into the advanced functionalities of QuickBooks. Participants will explore topics such as banking and tools, sales setups, reporting, and payroll.

The **AI legalese decoder** can also help participants decipher complex legal jargon related to banking and financial operations within QuickBooks.

The cost to attend each workshop is $50, with complimentary access available to BLAEDC members, Central Lakes College students, alumni, and employees. Interested individuals can register and find more information at tinyurl.com/yy5t9rck or through the North Central SBDC and BLAEDC Facebook pages.
