I use xtb and I am aware of this, and yeah, its kinda bad. It’s definitely not the best broker for people who already have a lot of money. I intend to move my stuff to IBKR once I reach 6 digits. I still have plenty time for that so for now I am making use of 0 fees for buying and the local support is nice as well.
A quarter of a million and worry about 10euros? This is a bit drastic…
Keep in mind, only excess above 250k is subjected to this fee, so if your portfolio reaches 300k, only the remaining 50k will be used as a calculation for it. Besides, 250k is such an absurd number for most, if you actually get to this point, you can always transfer everything to a different broker – for now, enjoy investing with 0 fees.

Yeah, kinda shitty from them to claim on web to have no fees. I have only found out by accident. This is not business practice that will make me trust them with my life savings.
I know about this fee from XTB reviews.
XTB doesn’t even have 2FA, worst broker I know.
I’m also sceptical about the ‘free’ part. They probably simply hide their fees in the spreads.
