Man that dude is yapping away lmao
I went to the police over a marketplace scam once and they were super helpful. The person ended up having to go to court but when they didn’t show they got arrested. All over $40. I suspect they did it to multiple people but the police said they couldn’t tell me. Definitely worth going though
Never send money over marketplace, be glad it was only a $90 lesson
Yeah looks that way. Too many scammers on MP these days. I would only deal local and pay in cash, too many things can go wrong with bank transfers.
Use TradeMe next time, and pay with Ping. Yes prices are usually higher, but then you’ve got TradeMe who can help resolve issues like this, and if you paid via Ping on TM they can pull money back up to a time. (not saying TradeMe is perfect, but safer then MP for shipping stuff.)
I know it’s only 90 bucks but for me it’s a considerable amount. Probably will be the last time I trust someone posting an item from marketplace
Whats that i guys name? I know someone in the bop that had his 2 boys walk off site and he was all by himself and then on monday nobody could reach him anymore 🙂 it does sound like his story matches the guy i know so can you provide detail?
I’m with ASB and money was transferred into another ASB account if that helps things
Call ASB’s scam hub 0800 272 372, heard they’re 24/7 so should hopefully help

I wouldn’t listen to all the people saying you won’t get your money back, me and my friend both have
Did his name on Facebook match the bank details?
Ring your bank and see if they can reverse the transaction or do a refund? No guarantees. Chances are you’ve lost it.
Cash on pick up in future mate ✌️
