We are deeply grateful to Bishop and all the fellow Christians here today. God’s goodness is evident at all times and we are thankful for the presence of the clergy and our guests. On behalf of the family of Jeringa, we extend a warm welcome to each of you and express our gratitude for joining us this morning in this memorial prayer for Jeringa, who would have turned 30 years old.
This place is not meant for lengthy speeches, as there will be ample opportunities for that later. However, I feel compelled to share that Jogi was deeply connected to this church. He was the grandchild of the late Bishop Henry Okulu and contributed significantly to the fundraising for the construction of this church. Jogi’s efforts were followed by those of the late Jino, and eventually, I joined in as well. Together, we worked tirelessly to bring this project to life.
We recently learned about some additional needs of the church, including the installation of a sound system and the replacement of the pews. Today, in honor of Jeringa, our family is presenting two new chairs to the church and making a financial contribution of 200,000 Shillings. We also extend the invitation to any other Christians who feel compelled to contribute to this ongoing project. This is the time to join hands and work together for the betterment of our beloved church.
In this difficult time, we believe that uniting for a common cause can bring us comfort and healing. We wish to honor Jeringa’s memory by continuing the legacy of generosity and dedication to this church. We hope that our contribution will impact the church positively and encourage others to support its ongoing efforts. Thank you once again for being a part of this special remembrance ceremony. God bless each of you.
