Did they disconnect the old exhaust or venting?
Did they install new brackets to support the new dryer?
Is a venting kit supplied with the new dryer or is a new kit required?
Does it attach in the same position on the new/old dryer?
Does it require a rocket surgeon to connect the ducting once the heavy lifting is done or does it simply snap on to the old connection?
Take the $50, negotiate for more or get them back to finish what they’d started.

You fucked up and bought the wrong dryer. A heat pump dryer would not produce any steam and uses far less electricity. Unfortunately, you have bought a vented dryer.

This is outrageous. Request the installation money back. What was the money for if not to install? Totally unacceptable. For reference, my dryer is not vented and they bought it in and put it on the shelf and plugged it in for me for free.
They mounted it. What did you think would happen venting a dryer into an enclosed space.
If you had special requirements or wanted a vented unit you should of requested it.
There dryer works as advertised, open a door or use forced ventilation
Should have gotten a heat pump dryer, especially given that you live in an apartment and the other details that you gave.
