    That seems crazy expensive dude.

Like 2 times what it should cost for 1/10th the performance.

I’ve been with 2degrees for years and never had any reason to call their help desk.

Currently with Orcon. The one time I had an issue (bought a house and the previous owner took the bloody ONT cable) they were extremely prompt. I messaged them via Facebook and they responded within 2 hours and had the cable overnighted.

For $97 per month they have a 312mbps plan.

I went to 2degrees, when they were running a promo to get the first 3 months free. Seemed like a pretty good deal at the time.

In retrospect, I would rather pay full price at the likes of Voyager for decent service, rather than the time I wasted with the TDR process to get a simple request fulfilled. Just to save a little bit of money.

    Tl;dr – I think 2degrees are dogshit.

If you rely on an internet connection to work you’d be better off getting your broadband and mobile services from different providers, so in the event one goes down it’s less likely the other has too.

Also you’d be pretty unlucky if you have to contact support ever, beyond the initial setup (which these days doesn’t usually require support either). In my experience if things are playing up restart the modem/phone, if that doesn’t fix it then just wait until it works, contacting them probably won’t help. I’m sure there are exceptions to this but my anecdote is I’ve never encountered them.

If you are on fibre, there should be almost no reason to ever need to talk to customer service.
