    A diagnosis of ASD isn’t necessarily going to save you from performance management.

    Is there a history of warnings or issues with your performance?
    Have you communicated your issues with your store manager?
    Assuming you work for a retail chain – there would be a HR department but they are there to protect to business.

    * don’t attend any meetings without a support person (can be a friend). They can’t speak on your behalf but your managers will be a lot more careful about what they say

    *take notes about everything they say & tell them you want everything in writing

    * Do not answer any of their questions. Any issues they raise or question, ask for them to be given to you in writing & tell them you will provide written responses within xxx days
