## Portfolio Tracking Solutions for Stocks and Mutual Funds
—
Hi there, I have a simple question regarding tracking my overall portfolio of stocks and mutual funds.
Is there any kind of portfolio tracker, tracking app or visualization service that would help me understand how my portfolio develops day by day?
I mean, I could build myself a snapshot via Google Sheets or something like that and build my own dashboard, but I would rather save myself the time and use something that either allows me to simply input what I own or even integrates into something like Rakuten Securities.
Does anyone have a good suggestion for something like this? Because I can find a lot of similar English language (international) services, but they all seem to not have Japanese mutual funds like the eMaxis stuff available.

Most Japanese brokerages provide tools like this. Is the issue that you have investments at multiple brokerages and you want a dashboard that collates them? Or is it just that you’re looking for something in English?
> I could build myself a snapshot via Google Sheets
This is what I’ve done. Yahoo Finance Japan is relatively easy to scrape data from using IMPORTXML into GSheets.
Portfolio Performance: https://www.portfolio-performance.info/en/
Open-source and you can update quotes and foreign currencies from a variety of sources (Yahoo Finance, Finnhub.io, Quandl) and compute and visualize returns, asset allocation and rebalance etc.
Sharesight.com has Japanese stocks, ETFS, etc. not sure about specific mutual funds. Great visuals. It even automatically tracks dividends and currency fluctuations.
Off topic, but I’ve always wondered and never asked: is “tracker” a UK / British English term?
I’m from the US and never had heard the term before, but also I’m a “buy whole market index fund and never think about it again” sort of guy so it’s possible the term is used in the US as well and I just missed it.
That said, I lived in the UK for a while and remember people talking about “trackers.”
So yeah, is that a British English thing? I imagine it’s just like a board market index fund, e.g. SP500 or similar that “track” the entire market (or a large segment of the total market).
if you want to track just the stocks/funds you actually owned via rakuten-sec/etc. MoneyForward is a good option. The graphs are usefull for visualisation.
