Nick Raftopoulos to Host Meet and Greet in Granite City

GRANITE CITY ÔÇö Nick Raftopoulos, the Democratic hopeful for IllinoisÔÇÖ 111th House District in 2024, will host a meet and greet 5:30-8 p.m. Aug. 29 at Granite CityÔÇÖs ManhattanÔÇÖs Coffee & Socialhouse.

ÔÇ£I am very humbled by all the support IÔÇÖve received so far, and it means so much to me to hold my first campaign event in my hometown of Granite City,ÔÇØ Raftopoulos said. ÔÇ£I truly appreciate Manhattan’s Coffee & Socialhouse for hosting this event. They have some of the best food and coffee this city can offer, and I highly encourage everyone to check out this amazing establishment.ÔÇØ

Raftopoulos: Fighting for the Community

Born and raised in Granite City, Raftopoulos has lived his entire life in the 111th district. From an early age, he has had a strong passion for helping others.

ÔÇ£This community has given me a lot over the past 30 years, and I hope I have the honor of serving as state representative,ÔÇØ Raftopoulos said. ÔÇ£We need a representative that will fight for everyone regardless of party, and this district needs someone who will fight for jobs, small businesses, and the rights of everyone.ÔÇØ

Raftopolous said he chose ManhattanÔÇÖs for this event because it was one of several small businesses located in Granite City.

ÔÇ£When you give money to a small business, you arenÔÇÖt just paying for the business,ÔÇØ he stated. ÔÇ£YouÔÇÖre paying for a childÔÇÖs education, healthcare for families, groceries, and so much more. I hope to see many familiar and new faces at my first meet and greet, and I plan to host similar events over the next couple months. I would like to host one at a small business in every municipality throughout the 111th district. Not only is this a great way for people to get to know me as a person, but also listen to the ideas I have for making the district better. And, as always, encourage people to shop local.ÔÇØ
