SSDI checks are not late until the end of the business day on the 3rd (or whatever Wednesday you are assigned to receive benefits). SSI checks are not late until the end of the business day on the 1st. Banks may choose to release funds early but that is their choice and does not come from social security. If the 3rd/1st is on the weekend it will come the Friday before, and if the 3rd/1st/assigned Wednesday is on a federal holiday it will come the day before.

FWIW but everyone gets paid at different times contigent on a lot of factors, like what kind of social security that they have, when they first started getting it and other stuff. The answers are on here [https://www.ssa.gov/pubs/calendar.htm](https://www.ssa.gov/kc/rp_paybenefits.htm) there are downloadable calendars on there for this year and next year. The very bottom of the calender has info on the payment dates. You can also check your account on the SSA dot gov page there, it will have your payment information and last date, last payemnt date. I looked it wasn’t a federal holiday, but some banks were open, some had short hours, some weren’t, so if you get direct deposit, that might be part of the problem.

If you get paid by check then it is probalby just the fucking USPS. I don’t, but always check the salesf lyers they stick in your mailbox, I have had important things get stuck in those

You have been getting paid early because some banks and credit unions offer early direct deposit or early pay day. You should never count on the money arriving before your SSA payment date as it is not guaranteed and the date available can vary. https://www.nerdwallet.com/article/banking/early-direct-deposit

I’ve always gotten mine on the third of every month. If it falls on a weekend, I usually get it that Friday.

It’s the Monday after Easter; a lot of banks aren’t working.

Mine went in Friday, but I DD straight to a credit union that always pays us a couple of days ahead of time.
