    That’s absurd.

To hell with making kids safer, helping people overcome mental illness, etc… just lock everybody away and give kids yet *another* reason not to report being abused.

Death penalty? As someone who suffers from bipolar disorder and is currently under investigation still in AZ I’d honestly be fine if they decided to kill me.

I’m already so sick of living with my chronic mental illness. What I did was wrong. Dying seems like it not only saves the federal government money but it saves me from suffering. It’s funny to think about.

    Thanks for the information.

Yep…..the state of Wisconsin SUPREME COURT ruled, separate counts on one charge can’t be counted as separate occasions on one charge. So what is the legislation doing….. writing the law that way and overruling the supreme Court!!!!! And in the bill they write it will be retroactive even for people that have terminated registration!!!!! You’re back in the registry and lifetime GPS bracelet!!!!!

I hate this S$&&@@! It’s absurd! Death penalty!!!! Really !

Okay here is what I think the argument is, you testify in a positive light:

*To be clear I did this in my state house and the committee shut it down immediately. LOL*

(If you are visible on the registry)”As a sex offender I fully support this expansion of the registry, the more that are visible on the internet the more people will not know who I am”

(If you are not visible) “Just so you know, pedophiles everywhere are rejoicing about this law change, they are targeted right now as the only ones on the public registry, and when you add people, they get lost in the mix. Nobody cares what the charge is of people on the registry they just care if you are on the registry, they are considered pedophiles. Good luck getting relected after crime rates go thru the roof because people on the public registry reoffend 10000% more than people who are not on the public registry.”

I believe there is a US Supreme Court decision that forbids the death penalty for a non murderous offense. Google Kennedy vs Lousiana. It’s political theater.

And if the law passes and you place children of SOs on the list and they are bulled or get so much anxiety, they kill themselves. Can we then charge the lawmakers who approved the bill of murder.
Chance the laws to include the death penalty as punishment, which is not a murder case. That means people have no change to change and be better citizens.
It would not stop other SOs from becoming SOs.
Castration or whipping would work better than the death penalty and registry . Most important is education of teenagers about sex crimes and sexual behaviors and to ask for help if they have a problem.
In this country, we treat sex stuff as taboo with teens and then act surprise when some have a sex addiction or look at to much pron.

This is a product of people focusing solely on the INTENT while blatantly ignoring all of the actual evidence
