Las CrucesÔÇöRegistration is now open for the 2023 New Mexico Veterans Business Summit, which will take place on October 31 and November 1 in Las Cruces at the New Mexico State University Corbett Center Student Union, 1780 E. University Ave.
The event, organized by the New Mexico Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC), is free and highly recommended for entrepreneurial-minded military veterans, National Guard/Reserve members, transitioning active-duty service members, their spouses, and federal contractors from the Southwest region. This two-day conference aims to provide valuable resources and support for those looking to start their own business, expand an existing operation, or secure federal contracting opportunities.
This year’s summit is part of the National Veterans Small Business Week, an annual celebration of our nation’s veteran-owned businesses. Attendees will have the chance to interact with representatives from various organizations including the VBOC, U.S. Small Business Administration New Mexico District Office, Small Business Development Centers, New Mexico APEX Accelerator, SCORE, and WESST. These members will share information about the resources available in New Mexico to aid veterans, service members, and spouses on their business journey.
State agencies will also be present to provide information on state licensing, training, economic development opportunities, business taxation, and more, pertaining to running a business in New Mexico.
In addition to the valuable information provided, the conference offers an excellent opportunity for networking with other veteran-owned business owners, federal and state contractors, and representatives from the participating agencies.
