## Arkansas Tech University Receives $365,000 Grant for ESOL Institute
Arkansas Tech University has been awarded a grant of approximately $365,000 from the Arkansas Department of Education to support the 2024-25 ATU English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Institute. This grant aims to provide financial assistance for up to 50 qualified K-12 teachers in Arkansas.
The funding will cover the full cost of tuition, materials, and one attempt at the Praxis 5362 examination for eligible participants. However, individuals must bear a small $40 application fee. The institute will comprise an in-person six-day program scheduled for June 10-15, 2024, at the Russellville campus. Additionally, there will be four online training sessions throughout the 2024-25 academic year.
