Are they giving you a day in lieu for it?

If you’re not getting paid, then they shouldn’t be expecting you to be there.

If they are expecting you to do it, they should put their money where their mouth is (unless it’s only a couple of hours and they’re offering to put on a really good lunch…)

They need to pay you for your time, or offer time in lieu for it.

I would approach your boss (kindly) about it. It could be as simple as they forgot you don’t work X day.

My manager has a knack for scheduling meetings on the 1 day that our 1 part timer has off. This is followed by the usual, “I don’t work Wednesdays”, “crap, I forgot about that” and then “did you want to come in that day (and be paid) or would you rather I catch you up on Thursday?”

Happens every single time but it’s also never an issue because of that quick, 10 second conversation.

…have you had that 10 second conversation with your boss yet?

Anything that is a work thing should be paid. And OT on your day off. Id either refuse or say do it on my working day or pay me.

Besides why TF do you need a day of zoom training?
