Although I do not live there or have personal experience, Mississippi is one of the tougher states to live in based on reviewing the laws. They are a Federal sorna complaint state. Also have Living restrictions of 3000 feet from schools, child care facilities, playgrounds or general areas for kids. And can’t be present within 500 feet of those type places. Exemptions do apply.

Mississippi isn’t bad. I moved there from Louisiana. After you first go to the Sheriff in the county you live in. You update everything at the DMV. DMV is super cool. Local police departments don’t get too crazy. The US Marshall’s will show up at your house to verify residency with the help of local law enforcement. I just comply and live my life. I’m in contact with local law enforcement often. My interactions are almost always positive. I am registered to vote, legally. I’m actively petitioning my congressman to get a federal s.o. law changed, and his office has been super helpful thus far. So from my position it has been a positive and fair experience living in Mississippi, and I’m happy to comply with everything they ask.
