    Okay so this isn’t so much of a legal question, more about navigating work space politics. The only bit that I can see that requires legal advice is the following.

    It sucks but he can do this.

    This he can’t do unless there is some sort of contract clause like “short-time working” but even then there are procedures for this.

    What does your contract say about hours? you should be offered the amount of hours per your contract and/or paid for this.

    To make a formal complaint, you write it down and send it in writing to who you’re supposed to according to company policy. This will likely be your boss’s line manager or HR.

    You mention making a claim. Making a claim for what? What damages have you suffered?

    It’s worth bearing in mind that the majority of what you’re accusing him of is not illegal and should be handled internally by the company. If I sound harsh when I’m going through the list, I apologise. I am covering these how HR will see them. I am sorry you’re going through this- I’ve dealt with a boss like this myself.

    There is no legal obligation to be fair, unless this personal animosity stems from a protected characteristic.

    He’s entitled to his opinions. The former could lead to issues if he has to deal with an employee suffering from mental issues though.

    Unless he’s unlawfully dismissing people (remember that with <2 years service you have almost no rights), this is you disagreeing with his management style.
