## Investment in Healthcare Facilities by WVU Medicine

ELKINS, W.Va. (WBOY) — WVU Medicine is prioritizing the enhancement of healthcare facilities in multiple cities in West Virginia through a substantial $400 million investment.

The health system has recently announced a noteworthy initiative where the Board of Directors has approved a budget of $400 million to contribute to the improvement and expansion of facilities in Morgantown, Fairmont, Elkins, Princeton, and Bluefield in Southern West Virginia.

The Elkins facility, which will serve as an extension of United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, aims to provide services akin to a “hospital without beds,” featuring walk-in family medicine and urgent care, as detailed in a press release.
