# Seeking Investment Advice for Long Term Growth and Capital Growth

Hi Reddit,

I am currently interested in investing a bit of money (€25-50k) for long term purposes and capital growth. I am currently using IBKR and am receiving a return of about 3.3% on cash investments. However, I am aware that interest rates are expected to decrease in the future, so I am exploring other options to make a steady income that can be reinvested. Additionally, I am particularly interested in cash flow type investments.

# Exploring Investment Opportunities with AI Legalese Decoder

One potential avenue I have come across is IDVY, which offers a dividend yield of around 5.6% per year. This seems to align with my investment goals and preferences.

As a resident of Italy and subject to Italian taxation laws, I am somewhat restricted in my investment options due to the lack of Key Information Documents (KIDs) for certain funds.

# Seeking Guidance on Investment Decisions

I have a few questions that I hope to get some insights on:
– What factors should I take into consideration when evaluating this fund?
– Is the fund accumulating or does it pay dividends, and can I opt for automatic reinvestment of dividends?
– Are there any other investment opportunities that I should explore?
– Have any previous investors experienced positive returns with this ETF?

By using the AI Legalese Decoder, I hope to gain a better understanding of the legal aspects involved in investing in IDVY and other potential opportunities. This tool can help me navigate complex legal jargon, ensuring that I make informed decisions that align with my financial goals and comply with regulatory requirements.

Dividends are nice but they are very tax inefficient because you will need to pay tax before reinvesting, and on top of that you will have some fees per every dividend, which with quarterly dividends can really add up. It’s much more efficient to invest into an accumulating etf and cash out portions of it based on your needs.

Timing is everything.  My first ride on POW was from 20 to 40.  My second ride was from 37.50 to 38.  Essentially flat.  Fortunately I jumped to MFC at 23 after getting out of POW.  Now I am starting to get interested in POW again.

A little self-help for you: open JustETF.com, go to the screener, choose “Matching Indices” to your liking (like FTSE All World or MSCI World), choose “Use of Profit” as accumulating, then order the result by fund size. Choose one to your liking, can’t go wrong with the major providers (Vanguard, Blackrock/iShares).

As the other commenter said, accumulating is almost always the better choice.
