## Offering Windows Recovery/Installation Software Service

Some additional information: I don’t sell or include any software licenses/product keys. I want to sell the service of installing Windows recovery/installation software onto a USB drive. This is free software that they themselves offer through their website as Windows Media Creation Tool. It allows you to make a Windows 10/11 install drive. A lot of people aren’t skilled enough or have the resources themselves to do this, why not make a tiny bit of money by offering this as a service.

I understand Windows is copyrighted, but I’m not selling the software. I’m selling the service.

Can I legally do this?

This is very much a grey area as far as I know. Because you may be selling a service, but that service still entails distributing copyrighted software. And also since microsoft has service contracts with computerstores and the like, you might be providing an illegal/unlicensed service.
Tldr; probably illegal but seems like a grey area.
But I’m no lawyer so take what I say with a grain of salt.
