    It depends on what they use the name for. If it’s for example your Reddit username nobody will care. If you want to start a company with that name you may run into legal trouble.

    say your dutch and the problem is solved. ‘groot’ cant be copyrighted because copyright doesnt cover regular words. I am groot means I am big. So just saying that it’s Dutch solves it .

    It’s fine if it’s just a screenname. It becomes a little dicier when it’s the screenname of an influencer.
    I can think of 2 examples. 1 is LegendOfTotalWar, a Total War youtuber. The other was Arch Warhammer. I say ‘was’ because he’s a bigoted piece of trash who kept stirring shit in the community and is pals with literal nazis so GW (the company that owns the Warhammer IP) made him change his name. Unfortunately they couldn’t force him to be a decent person.
    So… it’s probably fine, so long as you don’t do anything to damage the brand.
