Effingham County Businesses Can Apply for COVID-19 Equipment Grant

In an effort to support local businesses during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Effingham County is offering a grant program that provides up to $20,000 in reimbursable funds for durable equipment. The equipment can either be purchased or rented and should be used to prevent, prepare for, or respond to COVID-19.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for this grant, businesses must meet the following criteria:

• Have been in operation since March 21, 2020
• Be currently open for business
• Employ at least one individual
• Have acquired equipment related to COVID-19 prevention, preparedness, or response

Note that costs incurred prior to March 21, 2020, are not eligible for reimbursement under this program. Additionally, not-for-profit organizations are not eligible to apply.
