AI Legalese Decoder: Providing Guidance for Your Situation

I did everything I could, got into sex offender treatment, therapy right after arrest. Had a great psychosexual eval. But it’s looking like I’ll be taking a plea deal and doing a year in jail with 9 years probation on child pornography charges. This is a challenging situation, but there are ways AI Legalese Decoder can assist you during this time.

Understanding Probation Requirements Regarding Internet Restrictions

One aspect that concerns me is the internet restrictions outlined in the probation requirements. I would like to know how they handle devices that I currently own, such as gaming consoles, computers, smart TVs, and even my internet-capable fridge. AI Legalese Decoder can analyze your specific case and provide insights into how these restrictions may affect your existing devices. Additionally, it can help in clarifying whether you would still be allowed to have a computer for digital art, design, and 3D printing, as long as it doesn’t have internet access.

Implications of Internet Restrictions on Living Arrangements

Another issue that arises is how the internet restrictions would impact those I live with. My mother is planning to move in with me to provide support and prevent the loss of my house. Additionally, I am fortunate to have a partner who continues to stand by me despite the charges I face. AI Legalese Decoder can shed light on how these living arrangements might be affected and offer suggestions on navigating these challenges.

Clarifying Driving Log Requirements

Regarding the driving log requirement, I want to understand whether trips I take with family members or my partner would need to be logged. If driving alone is the only requirement, it would be helpful to know if I can exclude such trips. AI Legalese Decoder can offer guidance on these specific requirements based on legal precedents and general probation regulations.

Lifting Internet Restrictions for Employment Opportunities

As someone with a background in technology, selling items online and 3D printing, I am concerned about how the internet restrictions may hinder my ability to make a living. I wonder if there is a possibility of having these restrictions lifted earlier, allowing me to resume my previous employment endeavors. AI Legalese Decoder can evaluate your circumstances and advise on the feasibility of lifting the internet restrictions to support your employment prospects.

Exploring Alternative Options for Revenue Generation

Considering that I lost my job after getting arrested, I took up running bots for Amazon, selling on eBay, and locally as a means of income. Additionally, I sell my 3D prints on Etsy. I am unsure if I would be allowed to continue these endeavors or if I would need to rely on a third party to manage them. AI Legalese Decoder can provide insights into alternative options for generating revenue while abiding by your probation requirements, ensuring you remain compliant with the law.

Preparing for the Upcoming Court Date

With my next court date rapidly approaching, I am feeling the time crunch to prepare as much as possible. I anticipate having no more than a couple of months before my incarceration begins. AI Legalese Decoder can provide valuable support during this critical period, equipping you with necessary information and guidance to make informed decisions and navigate the complexities ahead.

so, it’s different in each state, and city – and each probation department – but as for gaming consoles, I wasn’t allowed to have one while on probation. I don’t even own one, the owner of the house had one in the living room and they (the probation officers) got so freaked out when they saw it, they said “next time we come here that thing better be GONE”.. so the owner took it to his bedroom.

I feel bad you have to do 9 years on probation..that is ROUGh.. I only had to do one year, and they stopped coming to my house around the 9th or 10th month. and I never heard from them again.

at 4.5 years you may be able to petition the court for early release.

I was given 9 months in jail…served 6. it SUCKED!

Just make sure you have money for commissary.. it will make your life easier.

My PO makes me full out the driving log for every trip, alone or not. All in all my PO has been pretty responsive and after about 6 months he eased up on me. IÔÇÖve been on probation more than 18 months. I donÔÇÖt own a gaming console and am not allowed internetÔǪeven for work. After some time you can file a motion to get some things, and from what I understand judges are quicker to grant work related internet because they want us to be working. I donÔÇÖt know why they have a driving log when they have us on GPS and no one has been able to give a straight answer ƒÿà anyway good luck to you. And petition to get off probation at the halfway mark, just make sure you donÔÇÖt violate, participate in therapy, and pay whatever your costs are.

Sounds like you may want to contact the Florida Action Committee for answers to your questions:

I’m in Florida… feel free to DM me.

Internet: you cannot connect to the internet or even shoulder surf. You can have a gaming console (so long as your PO doesn’t object and some do), but the device cannot be connected to the internet… standalone games only. Generally, you can use a computer so long as it doesn’t connect to your WiFi or on the internet via ethernet…if your 3d printer can be connected via cable or SD card to sneaker net, then you should be able to use it. The main thing they are worried about are any device that you can browse or view “sexually stimulating” content or send messages to other people…so unless your fridge has a browser, then it’s ok. I’m sure you know that it’s impossible today not to view the internet…point of sale registers connect to card processors via IP…every cell phone call is VoIP… roadside digital billboards are managed remotely via internet…etc.

Your family can still have internet…but all their devices must be password protected and you can’t have the password. Your PO may restrict their devices to be locked in a room or desk when not in use.

You will not be able to run an online business personally.

Driving log: you must log every trip that you are driving. If someone else is driving, then you don’t need to log the trip. Also note that when you get released you have to ask permission from you PO to be able to drive! It’s a one time thing and rarely enforced but technically it’s required.

Something you didn’t ask that I’ll bring up: are you sure you’re going to be allowed to live in your house? If you go to jail, then your house will not be grandfathered. Upon release, you will have to live according to the distance restrictions, which differ from the state restrictions in some locations.

I would call the POÔÇÖs office and ask these questions. ItÔÇÖs going to vary from person to person.

We are not in florida, but

My guy is allowed internet with monitoring software.
His PO told him the driving log isnÔÇÖt necessary.

You should call and ask instead of worrying about it.
