Michael Che believes that comedians should ÔÇ£boycottÔÇØ hosting gigs at award shows following Jo KoyÔÇÖs butchered hosting job at the┬á81st annual Golden Globe Awards┬áon Sunday.

Che, who serves as the co-head writer on ÔÇ£Saturday Night Live,ÔÇØ rushed to social media Monday to defend Koy in the wake of criticism over his monologue.

ÔÇ£Comedians should boycott hosting award shows,ÔÇØ Che wrote in a now-deleted post on Instagram. ÔÇ£For one, itÔÇÖs very difficult to make movie stars laugh. TheyÔÇÖre way too self-conscious to have a good time.ÔÇØ

The joke fell flat in the room and prompted ire amongst the singerÔÇÖs loyal fanbase.

Koy also targeted the hit film ÔÇ£BarbieÔÇØ during his set.

ÔÇ£ÔÇÿOppenheimerÔÇÖ┬áis based on a 721-page Pulitzer Prize-winning book about the Manhattan Project, and┬áÔÇÿBarbieÔÇÖ┬áis on a plastic doll with big boobies,ÔÇØ the comedian said.

The now-viral moment caught CheÔÇÖs attention, prompting him to slam celebs who roll their eyes at jokes.

ÔÇ£You know what really bugs me at award shows? Whenever a standup host is struggling, they always cut to some actor making this face [rolling eye emoji] face, like really dude..? But then, when that same (expletive) actor loses their category, the camera cuts to them and theyre smiling and clapping! ohhhhh, so you caaaaaan fake happiness nowwwwwww

Che, 40, sensationally added that ÔÇ£Hollywood doesnÔÇÖt respect comedians.ÔÇØ

ÔÇ£If they did, Eddie Murphy and Jim Carrey would have about 3 Oscars each.. and for their comedy movies! Not the dramas they had to do they could be taken seriously,ÔÇØ he went on.

ÔÇ£So they expect us to host the Oscars but wonÔÇÖt even nominate us? (Expletive) that. Get a magician!ÔÇØ

ÔÇ£And I donÔÇÖt care who you think was good at it,ÔÇØ he added in the comments section. ÔÇ£My point is, itÔÇÖs not fun for anybody. Trust me. I know everybody. We all hate it.ÔÇØ

Koy, for his part, appeared on ÔÇ£Good Morning AmericaÔÇØ on Monday where he┬áadmitted that he felt ÔÇ£hurtÔÇØ by the criticism heÔÇÖs received after his hosting stint.
