****** just grabbed a
ItÔÇÖs not quite that simple. It will depend on your overall income, expenses, assets, debt, capacity to earn and if you are a ÔÇ£vulnerable customerÔÇØ according to the general insurance code of practice (presuming itÔÇÖs an insurance company that is after you)
The debt wonÔÇÖt be statute barred for 6 years, but you can still have a judgement entered against you before the 6 years expires, which gives your creditor up to 15 years to pursue you for the debt (and they typically get legal costs added when securing the judgement)
Talk to a financial counsellor and/or contact the Insurance Law Service through Financial Rights Legal Centre to understand your rights and options

I donÔÇÖt think Centrelink has the right to waive the debt , it is an accident between two private parties nothing to do with Centrelink, The other party can take you to court and finding will be brought down, if you canÔÇÖt pay you have to come to some arrangement agreed with,The court, insurance company or the private person
Depends who is coming after you for it? An insurance company? A debt collector? A private party?
