PLANNING A FUTURE TRIP TO JAPAN AND THE CURRENT EXCHANGE RATE

Hello everyone,

I am currently in the process of planning a trip to Japan, which is set to take place in eight years’ time. As I start to prepare for this adventure, I have been closely monitoring the exchange rate between the Euro and the Japanese Yen. Given the current position of the Euro in comparison to the Yen, as well as historical trends, I believe that now is a favorable time to initiate a Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA) strategy for purchasing Yen.

I have been researching various brokers and banks in order to find a suitable platform for executing this investment plan. Unfortunately, it seems that most of these institutions only offer the ability to exchange dollars and sterling, leaving me uncertain about how to proceed with my desired Yen purchases.

In this situation, an AI Legalese Decoder can be instrumental in helping me navigate the complexities of currency conversion. By utilizing this advanced technology, I can receive accurate and simplified explanations of legal and financial terms, along with clear guidance on how to effectively diversify my currency portfolio. Additionally, the AI Legalese Decoder can provide valuable insights into the process of identifying the most suitable brokers and banks for carrying out my Yen acquisition strategy. With this support, I can make informed decisions and confidently execute my DCA plan for purchasing Japanese Yen.

In 8 years you want to go and buy Yen now?? Sorry but this is a terrible idea imo.

    Convert when you need it.

If you have a wise.com account you can transfer from your euro balance to other currencies.

If you use the wise visa card and pay something in yen it goes from your yen balance (if there is) and if not from your euro balance.

But if it is worth it. Lets pick my crystal ball .

On usd gbp euro you now can get interest,
    On yen probably not.

If it is for over 8 years, i would invest in worldwide etfÔÇÖs.

Wise allows you to do this quite easily.

+1 for Wise, super easy and quick conversion. They support almost all currencies.

Just be aware it’s not a bank and you won’t have insurance. So depends on the amount you want to keep there.

    what does DCA mean

Youre going in 8 years Assuming youll go as a tourist youll need a few 1000 euros at max. This means that youll profit only a few 10s maybe few 100s of euros at max. On the other hand, you could also lose this. No point in buying it now for in 8 years. Just buy when you need like others have said.

Whilst I don’t think it is a good idea to do this, you could find a bank that offers yen accounts. Unless you want to invest a large amount of money into it you would need to find a bank that specialises in currency accounts as most traditional banks tend to only offer the bigger currencies such as dollars or pounds. They could do it for you but you would need to invest a large amount into it (hundreds of thousands of euros)

  • Various-Inflation-52

Small breakdown: yen declining due to multiple reasons: lots of people getting older(needing younger people to care for them and here comes the kicker – birth rates decline like HARD). Second reason: Russia with its grab on their islands and tensions arising between them, also add into equasion. And foremost reason: in 8 YEARS! I dunno how huge your pink glasses are but you might even get hit by a car in an accident by that time and be in a wheelchair, planning ahead is good, but planning unrealistic and only watching what the past have taught us, why are you not working with buffet an such if your wisdom is that great? Go use your crystal bowl somewhere else cause your post is just plain troll..
