Senior Fox News Executive Departs Following Business Conduct Investigation

A senior Fox News executive, John Finley, has left the company after an investigation into a violation of business conduct. Finley, who had been with the network for more than 20 years, previously served as the executive vice president of development.

His responsibilities expanded in 2019 when he was promoted to EVP of development and took charge of Fox Nation. Meanwhile, Finley continued developing shows for the streaming service and worked on feature films.

This is not the first time Finley has faced an investigation. In 2019, it was confirmed by Fox News that he had been investigated in 2011 due to an allegation of misconduct. However, he was cleared after a Human Resources investigation failed to uncover any evidence supporting the claim. The Washington Post was the first to report on Finley’s departure from the company.
