About the Partnership between TotalEnergies and Adani Green Energy
Sept 14 (Reuters) – French oil major TotalEnergies (TTEF.PA) is in talks to invest in renewable energy projects developed by India’s Adani Green Energy (ADNA.NS) as part of its clean energy push, Bloomberg News reported on Friday, citing unnamed sources.
According to the report, TotalEnergies could potentially invest approximately $700 million in these projects.
At the time of reporting, TotalEnergies and Adani Green Energy have not yet provided any official response to Reuters’ requests for comments.
This potential deal could mark the first partnership between TotalEnergies and Gautam Adani’s group since U.S. short-seller Hindenburg raised governance concerns and made allegations of improper dealings in January, which adversely affected Adani shares. However, the Adani Group has consistently refuted these allegations.
