Charles ÔÇ£ChuckÔÇØ Martin Flood Jr., a prominent figure in Nashville for over 40 years and a founding owner of FBMM, has passed away at the age of 78, according to *Billboard*. Flood began his career in the music industry working for Capitol and Warner Bros. Records in various roles, including A&R and national promotion. In 1986, he started Chuck Flood & Associates with the assistance of John Sayles and Betty Sanders. Eventually, Flood joined forces with Frank Bumstead, Mary Ann McCready, and John McCarthy to establish Flood, Bumstead, McCready & McCarthy (FBMM).

FBMM went on to represent an impressive list of A-list clients, including Taylor Swift, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Kelly Clarkson, Pearl Jam, Miranda Lambert, Mac Miller, and Diplo. Flood’s exceptional contributions to the industry earned him a place on *Billboard*’s Top Business Managers list on multiple occasions.

Born on September 12, 1944, in Waco, Texas, Flood attended Baylor University, where he met his wife, Elizabeth ÔÇ£BethÔÇØ Flood. They were married for over five decades until Beth’s passing in 2021. The couple resided in Nashville for more than 35 years.

Surviving Flood is his sister, Catherine Flood Weiss of Austin, as well as his daughters Sarah Flood and Rachel Flood. Sarah is married to Robert Ryland, and Rachel is married to Kristian Vatalaro. Additionally, Flood leaves behind three grandchildren.

A celebration of both Chuck and Beth’s lives will be held in Nashville at a later date. To honor ChuckÔÇÖs memory, the family has requested donations to be made in his name to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) or Doctors Without Borders.
