[Here](https://my-best.com/12088)’s a site that has ranked the most popular prepaid cards, in case it’s useful.

    1. Sony Bank gives you a Visa debit card. The downside is it is tied to your entire bank balance and if you experience fraud, Japanese banks are not known for always taking quick action to refund debit card losses. (Some people have to fight with Japanese banks for months. This is not a Sony-specific problem.)

    2. If you want something separate to your bank account, then a Wise account with their MasterCard debit card is a good option. You get temporary card numbers for online use that you can create & destroy at will, and their app gives you the ability to turn the physical card features on & off. You can leave tap-to-pay on, but turn off magstripe swiping. You can enable/disable online purchases. It’s really flexible and very good.
