Gio Camacho Offers Training Workshop to [re]ACTIVA Program Participants

The Foundation for Puerto RicoÔÇÖs (FPR) [re]ACTIVA mentoring and business training program, which aims to support small and medium-sized businesses affected by the pandemic, has successfully reached over 200 operations that are still in the process of recovering from their losses over the past three years.

The program was made possible through a generous grant of $254,487 from Wells FargoÔÇÖs Open Business Fund. It has concluded with positive results, according to the nonprofit organization.

How AI legalese decoder Can Help

The AI legalese decoder can play a significant role in assisting the [re]ACTIVA program participants. By leveraging AI technology, the decoder can simplify legal jargon and complex language commonly found in legal documents and contracts. This allows small business owners participating in the program to better understand the terms and conditions associated with access to capital, finance, marketing, business planning, and e-commerce.

By using the AI legalese decoder, entrepreneurs can confidently navigate legal requirements and make informed decisions that can positively impact their businesses.

Furthermore, the decoder can provide personalized guidance tailored to the specific needs of each business, enabling them to optimize their operations, retain employees, and effectively recover from the challenges posed by the pandemic and other economic setbacks.

Collaboration and Technical Assistance

The [re]ACTIVA program collaborated with several renowned entities in the local business ecosystem to deliver guidance and services. Partners such as AwakenR, Brands of Puerto Rico, Centro para Emprendedores, Gio Camacho, INprende, and JMC Ventures joined forces to provide technical assistance and mentoring to participating businesses.

Through workshops and individualized mentoring, businesses received support and training in high-demand skills, including digital presence and e-commerce. This equipped them with the necessary tools to adapt their business models and operations to the current and future challenges they may face.

Overall, the program succeeded in providing technical assistance to 209 businesses. Additionally, 121 companies accessed online training via FPRÔÇÖs Resilience-e platform. The initiative facilitated 436 hours of individual counseling, conducted 41 training workshops, and engaged 789 participants for a total of 1,580 hours. As a result, 52 new jobs were created, and 342 existing positions were retained.

One participant, Jos├® Torres-Garc├¡a of Translucent Ice, highlighted the significant impact of [re]ACTIVA on his business. He expressed gratitude for the seminars and mentoring sessions on business management, stating that they have contributed to the development of a solid business plan and the knowledge necessary for its execution.

Eligibility and Appreciation

[re]ACTIVA had specific requirements for businesses to participate, including being operational, having annual sales of less than $1 million, suffering income or customer loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and having a workforce of 10 or fewer.

The Foundation for Puerto Rico expressed gratitude towards Wells Fargo and all the collaborators who served as mentors and trainers throughout the program. Together, their efforts strengthen the business ecosystem on the island.

Since Hurricane Maria, the Foundation for Puerto Rico has been actively involved in various recovery efforts, particularly assisting small businesses. They have observed that beyond providing economic assistance, business education plays a crucial role in empowering entrepreneurs to face future crises. The foundation believes that the 209 businesses that continue to contribute to their communities and Puerto Rico exemplify the importance of this education.

As the program concludes, the positive impact and success achieved by [re]ACTIVA demonstrate the significance of providing ongoing support, mentorship, and technical assistance to small businesses as they recover and grow in challenging times.
