A week ago? Ya, it’s going to take a few pay cycles to get you on the books. I would expect 1 March, and be happy if it comes mid-month in Feb.

Welcome to the best personnel and pay software the ’80s has to offer!

If you joined a week ago.. that tracks.. you were added after cutoff date for EOM JAN so mid month FEB sounds about right. Now regarding your rank and status need to have that discussion military HR representative so that your grade is being tracked accurately in the personnel system and unsure on Navy but it will carry over or may need to a separate action to ensure that financial system is tracking.

However your first pay check date seems accurate.

Yeah there is a thing called U&E
It’s a day that all pay and entitlements need to be certified in MCTFs to reflect on the next pay check

If you joined on the 31st that is well behind U&E for the 1st
    So they are right
You will get paid on the 15th

There is ways to get paid now though, in the marine corps admin will submit stuff for disbursing explaining the situation and then disbo can pay you

But these go through a lot of channels and marines and by the time it gets certified it’s already next paycheck so people usually just don’t care.

I believe the DFAS cutoff is seven working days before the pay date, so you would have had to have been fully gained by around 19 Jan. I wouldn’t worry unless you don’t get paid on the 15th.

End of month cut off for january was 26th. The cutoff for mid month is 7 feb, reference: MILITARY PAY ADVISORY 23/23. It really is of concern to not be paid but this is how the navy works…
