This article delves into the privacy aspect of credit card purchases, specifically in relation to how AI Legalese Decoder can provide assistance in such situations.

The Annoying Purchase:
Recently, I made an impulsive and regrettable purchase that I would rather keep private. The last thing I want is for this purchase to be visually apparent on my credit card statement, thus potentially leaving a trail for others to follow. This realization has led me to contemplate the level of privacy I can expect from my bank, especially when I am required to visit in person.

Privacy Concerns at the Bank:
Considering my need to physically visit the bank, questions arise regarding the visibility of my credit card transactions to bank employees. It is not uncommon to wonder whether the staff members have instant access to such information or if there are safeguards in place to ensure privacy. While it is likely that bank employees possess access to customer transaction details, it is important to understand the protocols employed to protect customer privacy.

No one cares that you spent several thousands on DildosRUs.com

  • knowledgegod11

No one cares about you only fans purchases

  • Wizardofthewheel

    Former td employee here.

We have complete information on every transactions you do.

We don’t care. We see thousands of accounts ever day. We see much worse than payments to BadMilfs.com.
If you don’t mention it, I’m probably going to skip right over it and I’ll forget about you as soon as the next client comes in.

    Don’t worry about it

  • GreatGreenGobbo

Unsavory? You mean like buying a cake instead of soup?

  • whiteout86

Haha, the bank teller doesnÔÇÖt care if you bought $1000 worth of dildos and used sex dolls

  • cormack49

What did you buy? Asking for a friend

  • wibblywobbly420

If you aren’t going for your credit card, it is highly unlikely they would open the transactions for you cc. If you are going in to discuss your credit card, just act casual I guess

  • Spare_Entrance_9389

You can see it too, they don’t give a f

  • lmancini4

Former Scotiabank employee, rules should apply to TD. We donÔÇÖt go through transactions and statements unless you ask us to go through transactions and statements. They would for sure see your general profile and see what kind of products you have and balances.

But everything a bank employee does is heavily logged and regulated, even the tellers.

So unless youÔÇÖre specifically asking about that account or asking about credit (as they might check type of card and if thereÔÇÖs upgrade eligibility because advisors and tellers are basically sales folks these days) but even then checking transactions is not standard.

When I was a business banking manager I often would pull bank statements ahead of time if IÔÇÖd noticed a pattern of high total fees or something to make a recommendation to a different account type. But even then, all I was ever truly doing was counting the transactions and types of transactions. Ya know so if youÔÇÖre paying $300 in overage fees because you simply donÔÇÖt have enough transactions included in your package – I was the banker the bank hates – because IÔÇÖd do the customer service thing and recommend an account type change. It potentially looks like an upsale because IÔÇÖm probably increasing their base fee BUT the banks overall monthly profit and overage fees get lost.

If I had to show someone where or why the base increase made sense I had their statements with transaction counts and trends with my notes at the ready.

  • AshleyUncia

    1) Yes, the bank can see every transsaction the same way you see them on your screen and more.

    2) Bank employees are not allowed to go ‘OH MAN, LOOK WHO SPENT $1000 AT DILDOSFORSTRAIGHTGUYS DOT COM’. They will, at worst, say ‘Can you confirm that you made this purchase for $1023.34 on October 3rd?’. That’s it.

  • rlprafa

The thing you have to go to the branch for, is it credit card related? If so, solve it by phone. There’s a way to start the call through the app that will mostly skip the huge wait time.

If it’s not credit card related, go solve your stuff. They will only see things if they are actively looking for it. And TBH, I don’t even know if at a branch they can see individual transactions on a cc. I had to challenge a transaction in the past and the branch said they couldn’t do it and that I should do it over the phone.

  • Acrobatic_Foot9374

I’m sure that teller has seen some shit 10x worse than yours so you’ll be fine

  • Repulsive_Response99

Unless your inquiry is directly related to your CC or CC transactions they likely won’t even be looking in there. Like others have said, even if they look at your transactions they likely won’t care and definitely wouldn’t say anything about it. I’ve had to look at CC transactions before and meh some stuff is interesting but I’d never be able to even tell you the name of a person or what it was that peaked my interest. There was one guy that had about 25 different onlyfans subscriptions per month. It was a momentary interesting thing to see and I couldn’t even remotely recall anything else about the individual.

  • The6_78

You can get fired for snooping a customers transactions without their consent. ItÔÇÖs in our annual LMS courses.

  • lindyballs

Worked at TD as a teller for 3 years, the person can see your balance but would have to click into the card and most likely if they even did that. They wouldnt care or even notice. Trust me bank employees become numb to all that

  • jddbeyondthesky

They watch porn too and go to the stag shop and buy hookers and blow.

  • DreadHeadedDummy

bank employee here – we dont give a shit, we see so many. Dont overthink how you are perceived for something EVERYONE does.

  • Born-Hunter9417

No one gives a damn what you do with your money buddy.

  • Reelair

Why not just f go in and own it? Just walk in and tell them what you bought. What are they going to say then? You’ve taken their power away.

  • chrissiehutch12

The answer is, yes they can see it. But also, trust me, theyÔÇÖve seen worse. DonÔÇÖt worry about whatever it is lol

  • Playful-Ad5623

They might depending on why you’re going in and what account you’re having them look at.

  • Young-gwapo-el-chapo

Who gives a flying fuck ?????

  • Ok_Bake_9324

Most companies that sell spicy products use a very generic company name in the line description for transactions for this very reason. Your giant dildo is probably listed as “ABC Corp” or something similar.

  • trevortins

It really depends they may look on your credit card to get information about something that will help them but no one cares what you do with your money. YouÔÇÖre not the first person with some crazy purchase history and you wonÔÇÖt be the last. They will do what they always do and try to get onto the next person quickly as possible

  • little_nitpicker

Yes they will. No they wont care. Most likely yours are nowhere close to the weirdest thing they have seen.

  • BCherry03

they can see everything. and yes they talk to each other while on lunch. find god.

  • Salt-Bag-2117

    Sounds like a yes lol

  • Odd_Anything4352

You money, they have no say/opinion on your questionable seedy purchases. You wouldn’t be the first to buy/pay for something questionable. You won’t be the last. Buck up and move along…

  • Party_Original_2684

The employees literally do not give a shit unless you’re doing something illegal. As far as the legal options go, unless you’re getting someone working there on their first week, they’ve probably seen it all already.

  • pfcguy

They can see where you shopped at but not what you purchased.

  • texanrocketflame

    Former TD employee here.

Yes, we can see the transactions. We could care less what you bought, we have seen it all and it doesn’t faze anyone. You are over thinking things.

  • Bobo_Baggins03x

Yes they can. Now you have to make several purchases to send that ÔÇ£unsavouryÔÇØ purchase down the list of transactions far enough not to be noticed

  • hadz_ca

IT teams also donÔÇÖt care about x rated content on your iPhone. ItÔÇÖs second nature.

  • GroundbreakingFly771

I work at TD, I dont even go thru peoples credit card statements. I only check thru their bank accounts, not to be nosey obviously but to do my due dollars. I dont see why someone would want to go thru ur credit card statements.

  • falco_iii

They can see the CC transactions if they look, but they probably won’t look unless the CC account is what the employee is dealing with.

  • lolthataintright

LOL yes but no one cares
