Penn State Health and the College of Medicine proudly honor and celebrate our Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) workforce, patients, and community during the month of May.

The health system’s Asian Physician and Professional Association, in collaboration with the International Workforce Inclusion Resource Group and Multicultural Business Employee Resource Group, is dedicated to recognizing AAPI Heritage Month through a comprehensive and multifaceted approach.

### Trailblazer Nominations

Employees are encouraged to nominate trailblazers of Asian descent who have played a significant role within Penn State Health and the College of Medicine. Nominations will be open throughout the month of May, and selected trailblazers will be featured in The RITE Stuff in June. Nomination submissions can be sent to [email protected].

### Themed Meal from Sodexo

Sodexo will be showcasing an AAPI-themed meal at all regional hospital sites on Thursday, May 23, and Friday, May 24, to celebrate the rich culinary heritage of the AAPI community.

### Virtual Seminar: “Language Talks”

The Asian Physician and Professional Association will be hosting a virtual seminar titled “Language Talks,” aimed at raising awareness about the language barriers faced by non-native English speakers and promoting cross-cultural understanding.
