Janet Mills also voiced her support for the fund, highlighting the devastating impact of the storm and the crucial timing of the assistance for businesses that suffered significant losses just before the holiday season.

Applications for grants will be open for submission from 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 4, and will be accepted until January 31 at 12 a.m. In a show of support for the fund, an anonymous donor has pledged $250,000 in matching funds to help finance the grants.
