    I’d like to know what’s really happened here. Self-reported by WBC to ASIC. It’s a very small percent of the customers during the time period that were affected by this. They’ve already remediated the costs that they would’ve after identifying this. Not saying what happened wasn’t bad or against the law etc… just it seems minor to the items that ASIC can be investigating.

    I find it weird that this is the case the ASIC are choosing to take to court when there are so many more grievous things that don’t get taken to court regularly. E.g.: Under payment, not paying super, phoenix companies, directors trading insolvent.

    I must be missing something. It’s not hard to see a slippery slope where business stop self-reporting if ASIC are going to go down the full legal route.
