Wheeling Heritage’s “Show of Hands” Celebrates 10th Anniversary
Wheeling Heritage’s “Show of Hands” program is celebrating its 10th year in 2024. This program, hosted at the Wheeling Artisan Center, provides a platform for local entrepreneurs to present their ideas for funding. The presenter with the highest number of votes will receive a minimum of $4,000, which has already been donated by sponsors, as well as additional funds collected at the door. Attendees pay a $5 entrance fee, which includes a ballot and a buffet-style dinner.
Over the past ten years, “Show of Hands” has disbursed over $123,000 to 31 different projects, as reported by Alex Panas, the program manager for Wheeling Heritage. To commemorate this milestone, Wheeling Heritage and the Show of Hands committee are planning special events and surprises.
