Mr. Springs represented me in a wrongfully accused sex crime . We had several trial prep meetings at my home, and we tried the case in front of a jury, resulting in a not guilty verdict. Mr. Springs is knowledgeable, upfront and honest. Mr. Springs worked hard at our case I highly recommend him. Mr. Springs responded to every question we had as well as explained everything to us that we did not understand. Mr.Springs made us feel comfortable and supported through the process.
Great Lawyer!
I’m deeply thankful for Chris’ outstanding work on my son’s legal case. Facing a year of uncertainty and the real threat of prison, Chris stepped in and changed everything. His strategic motions led to the cause being dismissed, a result we barely thought possible.
Chris’s expertise and dedication turned a dire situation into a remarkable victory. My son now now has his life back, thanks to Chris’s skillfully handling of the case. We are forever grateful for his help in navigating this challenging time.
Without Attorney Chris Spring’s high degree of professionalism and strong legal defense strategy, I honestly don’t know where I would be today.
As a New York resident, I was completely unprepared for the challenges posed by Massachusetts’ firearm laws. My fiancée and I were in the area to celebrate our engagement in Salem, one of our favorite places. Unfortunately, this celebration was marred by mistakenly leaving my legal firearm in our hotel room.
Chris quickly took complete ownership of my case, providing clear explanations of the complicated legal process, addressing my questions and concerns, and reassuring me throughout that he would fight with conviction on my behalf.
After a long-fought battle, Chris was able to file several motions that ultimately led to the dismissal of my case and the reaffirmation of my freedom.
I cannot begin to recommend Attorney Chris Spring highly enough. He played a crucial role in preserving my Second Amendment rights and is the direct reason why I am a free man today.
We are the parents of Dan Fortmann; he wrote the false and scurrilous review below in May 2023 after his abuse prevention order was extended in Concord District Court on November 14, 2022. We were not aware of the review until now. The facts are:
(1) Christopher Spring, whom we hired to defend Dan, is very competent, professional, caring, and effective in the courtroom.
(2) Chris asked the judge to vacate the abuse prevention order and probably would have succeeded but for his client’s behavior:
(3) Dan, defying both the court order and Chris’s strong prior advice, continued to send offensive emails and social media postings up until the hearing and after it. The judge cited those as a reason for extending the order.
(4) No circles were danced; Dan’s husband merely presented recent examples of abusive emails and postings.
Tom & Carla Fortmann
My parents hired Chris Spring to defend me when my husband reported me to the police and took out an abuse prevention order. Chris was quite confident that he would win the case after we discussed it thoroughly the day before the hearing. My husband, who does not speak English fluently and was only a law school graduate not a lawyer, represented himself at the hearing and danced circles around Chris Spring, who was richly remunerated for his morning at Concord District Court whereas my husband was not paid a penny. Chris’ strategy turned out to be entirely noneffectual and my husband with no difficulty found a weak point in the judge’s argumentation and won the day. I recommended to Chris that to avoid professional embarrassment he refund his fee but it would appear he is more beholden to his remuneration than to his stature as a competent professional. I certainly do not recommend Spring & Spring at all unless your case is straightforward and easy to win without a lawyer but if you have money lying around and don’t know what to do with it Spring & Spring will be more than happy to assist you.
