Greetings, viewers, and thank you for tuning in to my Chelsea News Roundup. Today is Thursday, October 5th, 2023, and I have some interesting topics to discuss within the Chelsea Community. But before we dive into that, I would like to remind you to join us daily, including this weekend, as we will be going live.
In a couple of hours before the game between Burnley and Chelsea Football Club, we will be broadcasting live on GFC Global Fans Channel. We are trying to revive this channel, which we have neglected for a while. So, make sure to tune in and participate in the live call-in show. We will provide the link for everyone to call in before, during, and after the game. Additionally, if you could help us out by giving us some likes on YouTube, it would greatly assist the channel. The YouTube algorithm is quite unpredictable, and any extra clicks would be much appreciated. You guys are absolute legends!
Now, let’s shift our focus to the team. They are currently preparing for Saturday’s match, and I am in the process of creating my match preview, head-to-head comparison, and analysis. It’s taking a little bit of time, but I might finish it today. The team seems to be in high spirits, in my opinion. The atmosphere at the camp is quite positive, and even Carlo Modric seems to be happy. *wink wink* I believe he will play on Saturday, as how could you possibly drop him from the lineup? Additionally, Chukwuemeca is back in training, and Marco Korea is experiencing a resurgence at Chelsea Football Club. Life is good, actually, life is really good at Chelsea Football Club. There’s nothing to complain about. All we need now is a victory in style in our final game before the international break, which will leave us with a feel-good factor upon our return.
Moving on to other topics within the Chelsea Community, Joao Felix has been trending due to his impressive performance since joining Barcelona. Some people are claiming that Chelsea made a mistake by not signing him. However, let’s be fair here. Felix was also part of some of our problems during his time at Chelsea. How many opportunities did he miss? He struggled with marking and pressing, although he was good at finishing and had some impressive skills. But people need to stop blaming Felix alone when we lose. Players like Callum Hudson-Odoi and Mason Mount have also faced criticism in similar situations. So, it’s time to forget about Felix and focus on the current players, like Callum Palmer.
I recently made a video about what Chelsea could learn from PSG’s defeat at Newcastle United. If you are interested, you can check it out on my channel. Newcastle did a commendable job, and they really embarrassed themselves. On a different note, Chelsea has brought in Jason, a chief operating officer, who used to manage the stadium owned by the Kroenkes in Los Angeles. This leads me to believe that when we build our new Stamford Bridge, it will be one of the best stadiums in the world. I anticipate a “wow” factor. Chelsea is a big club, and let’s be honest, Stamford Bridge is becoming too small for us.
Now, let’s discuss Thomas Tuchel’s determination to acquire foreign talent. However, my question is, wasn’t Tuchel the one who wanted to sell players like Hudson-Odoi, Trevoh Chalobah, and Armando Broja? Suddenly, he wants to keep Chalobah and is interested in Julian Hall, a 15-year-old prodigy who recently made his debut in the MLS. Many clubs, including Bayern Munich, are scouting him, but Chelsea has been monitoring his progress for quite some time. However, with so many talented youngsters in our squad, it’s important to provide them with opportunities in the first team, rather than constantly farming out young players on loan. We should consider giving them a chance to prove themselves. For instance, players like David Luiz and Andreas Christensen played regularly in Brazil before joining Chelsea, only to find themselves on the bench. Angelo Gabrielle is currently in France, which is good for him, but why are we signing players without giving them a proper chance? If I were Julian Hall’s parent or agent, I would advise him to consider joining a club like Borussia Dortmund, where he can receive playing time and develop his skills. It’s worth mentioning that, given his age, it might be difficult for him to move to England, but in Germany, there might be different regulations. Christian Pulisic, for example, moved to Germany when he was 16, so it’s a possibility. Overall, Hall’s potential arrival doesn’t particularly excite me, as we might have to wait five years or more to see him in the first team, and even then, it’s not guaranteed.
On a different note, let’s briefly mention Rodriguez, who has been underrated for a long time. He scored a late goal to secure all three points for his team. He is a highly skilled player who often outperforms our entire Chelsea team. Moving on, Carlo Ancelotti recently exposed Kepa Arrizabalaga’s weaknesses in handling crosses. It seems that Kepa’s time at Chelsea is coming to an end. Although he is a talented goalkeeper, his height has been a disadvantage when dealing with crosses. Nobody is perfect, not even me, and I’m quite handsome. That being said, if Kepa returns, I believe we should find another loan or consider terminating his contract. Personally, I don’t want to see him represent Chelsea anymore. He is simply too short to be an effective goalkeeper. [Laughter]
