Hello, how are you? Today we bring you a preview of Patch 13.14, which includes many changes. There are 21 champions, 10 items, three changes in the jungle, and one summoner spell. This patch also marks the end of the current season and the beginning of the next one.
Let’s start with the buffed champions. Firstly, Aatrox is a champion that is weak in all ranks except for Master. The announced changes aim to reduce his base damage and increase his scaling with physical damage. This means that players will need to focus more on physical damage when playing Aatrox. Additionally, his Q ability will deal more damage to minions based on his level, providing better wave clear in the mid to late game.
Diana is another champion receiving buffs. Despite being weak in all ranks, she performs better in the mid lane than in the jungle. The exact changes to make her stronger are yet to be announced, but any buff will be welcomed.
Lissandra is receiving a significant buff with her passive ability. When an enemy champion is killed near her, a clone of ice will be created. This clone will slowly move towards enemies, causing them to be slowed, and eventually explode, dealing damage. Previously, the clones would stop moving before exploding, but now they will continue to move, increasing their frequency of damage and providing vision.
Furthermore, Lissandra’s W ability will now slow all enemies hit, instead of just the first target. Her ultimate ability will also regenerate more health for her and scale better with ability power.
Next, we have buffs for Shaco, specifically for the AD build. Currently, players using the lethality build with Duskblade are not achieving high win rates with Shaco. On the other hand, AP Shaco with Hextech Rocketbelt and Eclipse is slightly stronger in terms of win rate. Shaco is generally weak in all ranks, except for Diamond and above.
Shyvana is undergoing a mini rework. Her W ability will have a slightly longer cooldown but will provide a significant boost in attack speed for her next two attacks. Additionally, her E ability will scale with her own health to deal more damage based on the target’s maximum health. These changes will make Shyvana more efficient against tank champions.
Volibear’s W ability will now restore more health as his health decreases. Additionally, his R ability will have reduced base damage and increased charges, making it more efficient in terms of mana cost. These changes aim to balance Volibear’s power without making him too strong.
Moving on to the nerfed champions, Ekko is currently weak in all ranks except for Diamond and above. To prevent his strength from increasing with the buffs to Ghost summoner spell and the item Riftmaker, Riot Games has decided to nerf him.
Similarly, Jax is being nerfed due to his synergy with Divine Sunderer and Blade of the Ruined King. He is also seeing high usage in competitive play, prompting Riot to make adjustments to prevent him from becoming too strong.
Lastly, Karthus, who is played in the jungle, mid, and as an ADC, is being nerfed. He is currently too strong in the jungle, and his win rates in all positions are consistently high. To balance his power, Riot Games may consider reducing his base armor, making him more vulnerable to physical damage.
