you haven’t provided much information to allow me to give you a nuanced response (what the offense was, how long he was incarcerated, length of probation, what tier system he’s classified, etc).

i can’t speak for indiana specifically, but in general his judgement and sentencing can be altered by the judge at the recommendation of the probation officer, so yes, he can get it altered; however, it is dependent on the probation officer.

for example, the offenders in the state i reside had to go through the treatment program and graduate while passing the polygraph. this was non-negotiable, regardless of whether or not his job requires the usage of internet.

best of luck and let us know how it goes!

Who told him that? Just an FYI – Probation officers sit on the left hand of God! The new ones are tough but many of the seasoned officers are amenable to working with someone who has followed their rules.

I was, very shortly, on parole in Indiana. It does initially say no Internet. But, the PO will do a home inspection. At that time, spiral to them about having Internet devices with password or biometric protection. Mine agreed to password protection and didn’t care about smart TV with streaming services. She was a very nice lady in the southwestern side of Indiana.
