NFIB Joins Lawsuit to Block Department of Labor’s Final Overtime Rule in U.S. District Court

WASHINGTON, D.C. (May 22, 2024) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has taken legal action by joining a lawsuit aimed at challenging the Department of Labor’s (DOL) final overtime rule. This new regulation, set to take effect on July 1, 2024, brings about a significant increase in the salary threshold for eligibility for overtime pay. NFIB had already voiced its opposition to the final rule upon its issuance in April 2024.
