New AirPods Pro Features

While the new AirPods Pro with a USB-C charging case are still classified as second-generation AirPods Pro, the earbuds have a few other new features that make them even more impressive.

AirPods USB C Port
In a recent press release, Apple announced that the updated second-generation AirPods Pro will support 20-bit, 48 kHz lossless audio with ultra-low latency. This enhanced audio experience is made possible when the earbuds are connected to Apple’s new Vision Pro headset, which is set to launch in early 2024. With this combination, users can expect a truly immersive and high-quality sound experience.

The new AirPods Pro also come with additional IP54-rated dust resistance for both the earbuds and the charging case. This added durability ensures that the AirPods Pro can withstand various environmental conditions and maintain their performance even in dusty or dirty settings.

The AirPods Pro with the USB-C charging case are now available to order for $249. The launch date in stores is set for Friday, September 22. It’s important to note that Apple is not selling the USB-C charging case separately, and the AirPods Pro with a Lightning case have been discontinued. The standard third-generation AirPods and the AirPods Max have not received any updates at this time.
