In the US Chase partners with Disney and there are perks, I wonder if they do in Canada?

I have the Chase Sapphire Preferred because they don’t charge fees internationally, they also have pretty good rewards and for me it’s worth the $95 annual fee. I’m saving up points for my honeymoon and have gotten 200,000 points in 22 months

You have to ask yourself which is more important to you. Cash back or rewards? For me it was rewards. Amex platinum for lounge visits and all the “coupons” it gives pays for the annual fee.

Capital One Venture X and Chase Sapphire Preferred both sound like they’d fit what you’re looking for. Not sure how credit card approvals for US based banks work in Canada though so you may need to look elsewhere.

r/CreditCards has been a great resource for me to learn about what’s available.

Picked up a Chase Sapphire card back in December. They have a sign up bonus- spend $4,000 on the card in your first three months, get a butt ton of rewards points. Something like $750 worth of points? Bought all my Xmas gifts and booked all my Xmas travel on it and hit that $4k mark. Now it’s in my freezer in a bag of ice to be used only for emergencies. Hoping to use it for travel this summer to the UK.

Venture X gets my vote for an everyday card

I don’t like rewards cards as I believe it only leads to more spending unconsciously. And having spending categories is almost as bad as it urges you to spend more one way for a time. My personal criteria was no fee with highest flat cashback. At first I was on the Cap1 Quicksilver at 1.5%, but recently and happily am now on the Citi DoubleCash at 2% Flat

PayPal card is 3% back on PayPal purchases, 1% on everything else.

PenFed has an unlimited 2% cash back on all purchases.

Chase has a 5% card when booking travel through their site.
