I have the same problem, driving too fast past near a village in France, a speedtrap camera flashed me on Saturday morning at 07:00… I paid the damn thing but with the wrong code. Fast forward, Had a letter delivered to my house for which I had to sign, the fine + increases is now Ôé¼400.
Tried to call them a couple of times but never got through… Next month I’m flying to Seattle with a layover in Paris so I hope I can get a hold of them soon..

The dutch and the swiss. Those are bureaucracies to account for, theyÔÇÖll track you down or remember you. Spanish and italian iÔÇÖd pay no mind to having lost those fines. French ones can go either way. Good luck.
